Description of post: Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish Translation & Interpreting, full-time appointment in the Department of French, Italian & Comparative Literature. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and service. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, high proficiency in at least one other language (including but not limited to Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese or a less-commonly-taught language), and Ph.D. in Spanish Translation, Interpreting or related field by date of appointment are required. Applicants should be prepared to teach Spanish <> English Translation & Interpreting courses and non-language-specific courses relevant to the Translation industry online, and to promote and expand the Spanish Translation concentration in the Master’s program in Language, Literature & Translation (MALLT). Successful candidates must have a proven commitment to teaching, in particular in the online format, and research and interest in outreach activities.

Expertise in translation technology and/or translation theory is highly desirable.

Description of post: The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Graduate Program in Translation announces one fixed-term, teaching academic staff position in translation and interpreting for academic year 2011-2012. Master’s, ABD or PhD in Translation, Interpreting or a related field by August 2011, and native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish are required. Evidence of ability to develop and teach Spanish to English introductory, advanced, and literary translation courses online, as well as interpreting courses is also required.

Description of post:
Lingnan University, a distinctive liberal arts institution in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is committed to the provision of quality education distinguished by the best liberal arts traditions.
